Buffalo Bill Reservoir

Buffalo Bill Reservoir is a man-made reservoir located in the Shoshone National Forest in Wyoming. It was created in 1910 by the construction of the Buffalo Bill Dam on the Shoshone River. The reservoir covers an area of 8,800 acres and has a maximum depth of 327 feet.
The Buffalo Bill Dam was named after William F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody, who was a famous American showman and buffalo hunter. The construction of the dam was a significant engineering feat at the time, and it was the tallest dam in the world when it was completed.
